MCMA PROJECTS

The Madison County Medical Alliance currently has many projects, which includes supporting the Madison County Medical Society Live Well Foundation, Crestwood MCMA Teen Volunteer Award and the MCMA Medical Student Scholarship for a UAB Medical Student.

New Hope Children’s ClinicThe New Hope Children's Clinic is a non-profit, school-based health clinic created to increase the access to and provide local, low-cost comprehensive medical care for children in Madison County and surrounding communities. In its 2,500 square foot modular building, staff of the NHCC see medical patients four days a week, dental patients twice a week, and vision patients monthly. NHCC relies on grant money, fundraising, and the generosity of donors. The MCMA helps support NHCC through monetary gifts as well as donations of "daily consumables" such as paper towels, copy paper, soap, tissue, small toys, and other needed items.

The Community Free Clinic-The mission of The CFC is to provide quality free healthcare, education and medications to thousands of people in Madison County without health care benefits. The goals and objectives of the CFC are to improve the quality of life for those with few health options through medical treatment and health education.

Not One More Alabama- The mission of NOMA is to support members of our community who are struggling with addiction in their lives, to educate the community about drugs and the addictions that are killing us, and to inspire our young people to stay drug free and be a role model to the people around them.

North Alabama Medical Reserve Corp-The mission of the North Alabama Medical Reserve Corps is to recruit and train medical and non-medical volunteers to supplement existing community organizations in preparing for and responding to an emergency or disaster and to provide community education in disease awareness and prevention during non-crisis times.

AMASA Scholarship Fund- To support Alabama’s future physicians as they enter their residency training.

National Children's Advocacy Center-The NCAC models, promotes, and delivers excellence in child abuse response and prevention through service, education, and leadership.

Hudson Alpha Double Helix Dash- Our mission is to finding diagnoses for genetic conditions in children, especially those who have not been able to receive a diagnosis through other medical avenues.

MCMA Health Initiative 2021-2022

Until Help Arrives is a condensed version of the "You're the Help Until Help Arrives" campaign with an emphasis on bleeding control and scene safety, with the addition of compressions-only CPR. It is taught by Emergency Physicians and lasts for 1-2 hours including discussion and practicing skills. It was designed to educate and empower the American people to prepare for, respond to, and mitigate emergencies, including man-made disasters.
